possible permutations - insert coin here

Insert Coin Hereis a group exhibition curated by Nella Themelios & Kim Brockett. The exhibition is part of the 2010 L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival cultural program.

Insert Coin Here comprises of two vending machines strategically placed in public spaces around the Melbourne CBD. Containing limited edition 'fashion objects' produced by over 50 Melbourne-based artists, the vending machines are activated when a member of the public inserts a $2 coin. The exhibition explores alternative interfaces of exchange for fashion, the mechanised system as a form of 'fashion dialogue'. More broadly, it thinks through discourses around public space and the role that fashion might play in it.

My project is called Permutation

From my project notes:
Permutation is a set of objects collected for their versatility and potential. It is an invitation to improvise an assemblage and although originally intended to be wearable you may utilize it for whatever purpose you may wish.

You might want to use all or only some of the objects provided, keep them intact or permanently alter elements. You may wish to try several possibilities. You may want to pass them on and see what others make of them.

I would be greatful for photos of your creations and can be contacted at;
